The 5th episode of the new Star Wars series, which follows the adventures of Jedi Ahsoka, brought its share of strong emotions. Between spectacular fights and impressive memories, there was also a quick reference to a legendary Star Wars character.

Show must go on. After dazzling us during the first 4 episodes, the series Ahsoka exceeded our expectations in this 5th chapter. The Jedi has definitely entered the legend of Star Warsand the series imposes itself, with Andoras the best production in live action.
Between unforgettable scenes, fights, emotion and lots of twists and turns, there are a lot of things to say about this episode. But we also find a small sentence, more subtle and almost unnoticed, which nevertheless refers to one of the heroines of the Star Wars saga, and which could be important for the continuation of Ahsoka’s adventures.

A quick reference to a Star Wars icon
You had to have an ear not to miss it. At the very beginning of the episode, while Hera Scyndulla and the robot Huyang are desperately searching Sabine and Ahsoka, who have disappeared from the surface of Seatos, more bad news arrives. Carson Teva, a well-known New Republic pilot Since The Mandalorianinforms the general that they are expected at army headquarters.
This is a problem: Hera Scyndulla and her cronies are not supposed to be there, and they deliberately disobeyed the orders of certain senators to come and help Ahsoka and Sabine. And, as Carson Teva explains, “ Senator Organa can no longer cover us “. The sentence is released quickly, and it could go unnoticed. However, the senator in question is not just anyone: it is Leia Organa, the legendary heroine of the first Star Wars film trilogy.
Best known as “Princess Leia”, she was primarily a senator of Alderaan under the Empire, as well as one of the leaders of the Rebellion. Once the war ended and the establishment of the New Republic, Leia Organa was once again elected to the position of galactic senator. So it’s her that Carson Teva is referring to – and it seems that Leia still has a little rebellious side.
By agreeing to lie to cover for Hera Scyndulla and the others, who are not supposed to have left the base, we especially see that Leia still has a rebellious side, and that she follows her instinct. She trusts Hera, whose concerns about Thrawn have not been listened to by the other senators. Leia is right to fear the return of the Grand Admiral : not only is he very dangerous, but his return also foreshadows that The First Order and the Siths, which we see in the film The force awakensare preparing to regain power.
However, we will not see Leia Organa appear in Ahsoka. The character is still alive at this point in the galaxy’s history, but the actress who plays her has sadly passed away. Carrie Fisher, who was also a writer, died in 2016 following a heart attack. To make it appear in Star Wars IX, The Rise of SkywalkerDisney had announced that they would not use computer-generated images. Instead, rushes from the previous opus and special effects were used — impossible to do the same for Ahsoka.
