News about Apple Watch Series 9 & Apple Watch Ultra 2
Interestingly, the research team has already dealt more with this Apple Watch Series X busywhich is due to be released next year, than with the Series 9. That’s basically because Apple has so far only made minor changes from Apple Watch generation to Apple Watch generation.
A fundamental design update is not expected until the smart watch’s tenth birthday. Now Mark Gurman at Bloomberg has more Details about Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 released. Although Gurman doesn’t cite sources, he has an above-average track record in reporting on Apple’s future plans.
According to Gurman, Apple is apparently planning extensive changes in this year’s updates.
New material
As expected, however, neither the size nor the design of the Apple Watch will change. Instead, there will be new materials and colors, with both watches using more recycled materials than before. As previously rumored, the Apple Watch Ultra will also be available in black in the future.
Although the report doesn’t go into too much detail, both models are said to receive “various upgrades to sensors and internal components,” including a new version of the heart rate sensor. The updates are also intended to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the sensors.
Both devices are said to be equipped with a new U2 ultra-wideband chip. This enables, among other things, an improved Find My function.
The report also addresses the recent rumor that… Apple no longer wants to offer genuine leather straps. According to Gurman, only “a few” leather bracelets will initially be discontinued and the changes will be more long-term.
In August, numerous rumors surfaced that Apple was switching from using leather to a woven composite material, which is both iPhone cases as well as Apple Watch bands and should be more durable.
