Versuni has announced a voluntary recall of Philips 2000 and 3000 series cordless vacuum cleaner batteries due to a potential safety risk. In rare cases, the batteries can overheat and catch fire, especially after falls. Versuni calls on affected consumers to stop using the devices immediately and to register for a free battery replacement on the Philips website.
Versuni recalls Philips vacuum cleaners due to battery fire hazard
The affected Philips 2000 and 3000 series vacuum cleaners have been on sale since November 2023. Consumers are asked to contact www.philips.de/cw/support-home/recall/cordless-vacuum-2000-3000-battery to register or contact the Versuni customer hotline on +49 40 34 97 87 77. Versuni warns that you should stop using the affected vacuum cleaners until the battery has been replaced. Versuni, formerly known as Philips Domestic Appliances, emphasizes that customer safety is its top priority.
Consumers also currently have to be aware of a recall for power banks. The manufacturer Anker has to recall the products because, in the worst case scenario, the batteries could catch fire.
