At the Samsung Developer Conference 2024 (SDC24), Samsung announced that the launch of One UI 7 will be postponed to 2025. Originally planned for the Galaxy S24 series, the update will now occur at the same time as the launch of the Galaxy S25 series.
Samsung explained that a deep overhaul of One UI requires more time than initially planned. The company’s goal is to create a “simple, effective and emotional design” that improves the integration of AI functions. These innovations are more extensive and complex than originally thought, which makes the delay necessary.

For Galaxy S24 series owners, this means they will have to wait longer for the new Android 15 and One UI 7.
