Google constantly work to perfect Android Auto and, consequently, the user experience. In this sense, almost in absolute silence, the Mountain View giant has released Android Auto 10.4, available for download less than a week after the release of the first beta build. As usual, there is no changelog available, however it is almost a given that the company has focused on fixing the various bugs from previous versions.
The launch, as always happens in these cases, It’s happening gradually. In this way, in fact, Google is able to conduct further reliability and stability tests. At the end of this process, i.e. when you are sure of the absence of any important bugs, all users will be able to use the latest version of the software. This process usually takes a few weeks, however more experienced users are likely to download the update manually.
As for the changes introduced with Android Auto 10.4, Google, as previously mentioned, has not released a changelog.
However, in addition to fixing some bugs, some users have noticed that the “Coolwalk” bugwhich has been present for six months and causes the lower part of the screen to freeze, is still present. In particular, the criticality makes it impossible to use the taskbar, therefore users cannot switch between apps. The problem seems to be linked to Google Maps as the users involved claim that the bug emerges as soon as the navigation app is launched. In this regard, waiting for a solution from Google, the only solution seems to be to return to using an “old” version of Android Auto.
