If you have a Google account, you probably have many contacts stored in the account’s Contacts service, especially if you have or have previously had an Android phone.
It is not known to everyone but using a computer (Mac or PC) it is possible to export Google contacts to iCloud in a simple way. Here’s how to proceed:
1) Open a browser from a computer, go to the address contacts.google.com and if necessary carry out the login procedure
2) Click on “Export” (the small icon with the arrow at the top right of the printer icon): the “Export contacts” window appears and from here you can select “Contacts” (to export all contacts) or “Selected contacts” (to export only the selected contacts).
3) In the “Export as” section of the previous window, select “vCard (for iOS contacts)” and click on “Export”.
4) Allow the download by choosing “Allow” and the contact file (a file with .csv extension) will be saved in the downloads folder.
Import contacts into iCloud
At this point you can import the contact or contact book previously saved into iCloud:
1) From a browser open the address iCloud.com/contacts and carry out the login procedure if necessary
2) Click on the cogwheel icon at the bottom left, select the “vCard Import” item, indicate the file with Google contacts saved in the previous step and press the “Load” button.
Contacts from the imported vCards will be added to the All Contacts group. You can add contacts to any other group by dragging them.
