Fortnite is very popular with many – including kids. Now there are innovations that affect the younger players, if their parents want. Fortnite is introducing settings that allow parents to limit their children’s playtime.
Parents have the ability to set daily playtime limits, choose specific play periods, and decide whether their children can request permission to play longer.
When parents enable these time limits, their children will receive an in-game notification when they have 30 minutes of play left. Time spent playing Epic Games-developed modes such as Battle Royale and Lego Fortnite, as well as user-generated content built with the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). The whole thing can be found in the parental controls section of the Fortnite main menu or in the Epic account portal. Timeout controls work across consoles and devices. As long as the child uses the same account across devices, the parent-set limit applies to Fortnite and UEFN. Timeouts are paused when Fortnite or UEFN is inactive (when Fortnite goes into sleep mode or UEFN is inactive).
