How does Payback Pay work?

Payback Pay is a payment method offered by the provider of the popular Payback benefits program. It’s completely free and directly into the Payback app integrated. To pay with it, the first step is to create a bank account or credit card from which the purchase value can be debited later. To pay, show a QR code at the checkout that is generated directly in the app and can be scanned.

If you want, you can reduce the amount you have to pay using your Payback points directly in the app. The advantage that Payback Pay offers is particularly available to customers who already diligently use the points program. You can use it to pay, collect your Payback points and redeem activated Payback coupons in one step. This saves you the plastic card and paper coupons in your wallet – and, above all, a lot of time.

Where can I pay with Payback Pay?

Paying with Payback Pay is currently only possible in Germany in the branches of nine participating supermarket and store chains. The participating markets are Aral, dm, Penny, Rewe, Alnatura, nahkauf, TeeGschwender and Thalia. You cannot pay with this payment method in online shops.
