What are the best mobile plans at the moment? Our three favorites
In reality, there aren’t quite three. First of all, to get an idea of what the different operators offer, consult our comparison of the best mobile plans of 2023. If you are looking for a new package for the start of the school year, here is our selection of operators that are worth it in September 2023:
- NRJ Mobile and Cdiscount Mobile : 4G packages with lots of data at a low price
- Syma Mobile : 100 GB of data for less than €10 per month
- Youprice : packages that adapt to your consumption
1. NRJ Mobile and Cdiscount packages, 4G at a low price
The two virtual operators offer essentially the same package, and go through the excellent Bouygues Télécom network. NRJ Mobile offers a plan with 100 GB of 4G data, usually priced at €12.99. At the moment it is at the price of €10.99 per month. This package is non-binding and its price does not change after the first year. The amount of the SIM card is worth €1.
Cdiscount Mobile offers a no-obligation plan, with 80 GB of 4G data at the price of €9.99 per month. The price of the package does not change after one year and the amount of the SIM card is also €1.
80 GB and 100 GB of data are good amounts of data to use your smartphone on a daily basis. Whether it’s streaming music, watching videos or playing online games, you’ll have plenty to do. The Bouygues Télécom network is also a very good network which covers almost 90% of the territory. Unlimited calls, SMS and MMS from France and Europe are included. NRJ Mobile provides you with 13 GB of 4G data to use in Europe and the French Overseas Territories. 10 GB of 4G data per month can be used from Europe and the French Overseas Territories with the Cdiscount Mobile plan.
2. Syma Mobile the right ratio of quantity of data and price
Syma offers a large envelope of 100 GB of data, including 10 GB for the EU and the overseas departments, at the price of €9.99 per month. A 5G option is available for €3 more per month. This mobile plan is non-binding and its price does not change after one year. Unlimited calls, SMS and MMS in mainland France, but also from the French Overseas Territories and the European Union. Syma Mobile is based on SFR’s 4G network.
Note that two options of 5 GB and 10 GB additional, respectively at 5 and 10 euros per month, are possible each month, if necessary.
3. Youprice and these packages that adapt to your consumption
YouPrice offers its adjustable Back to School package. It starts with 44 GB of data at the price of €7.99 per month the first two months, then €9.99 per month. This package goes up to 60 GB for €14.99 per month for the first two months, then €17.99. The package is non-binding and offers a 5G option, for €5 more per month. You will have to pay the amount of the SIM card when ordering, which amounts to €10. Note that you have the choice between the Orange network or the SFR network when ordering.
YouPrice is an operator that offers flexible plans, which you will be billed based on your data consumption. If you exceed the data level for the current month, you simply move to the next level. At the start of each month, the package returns to its minimum quantity of data, and of course to its lowest price.
100 GB is already an excellent volume for streaming content, listening to music via Spotify or Deezer, or playing online games. 10 GB of 4G data per month can be used from Europe and the French Overseas Territories. Unlimited calls, SMS and MMS from France, as well as from Europe and the French Overseas Territories to France, are included in this package.
You can subscribe to this package, as well as to other operators, by keeping your number. Subscribing to a new plan is simple thanks to your RIO number (Operator Identity Statement).
