One of Apple’s most ambitious commitments to science fiction, ‘For All Mankind’, has just received a trailer and release date for its fourth season. The series presents a scenario in which the space race never ended and, delivery after delivery, the United States and its international rivals intend to go one step further in search of the conquest of space.
The first two seasons showed us from the beginning of the space age to the arrival on the Moon. In the third season We travel to Mars and meet an unexpected protagonist. Now, in the fourth season, the ambitions go further: in addition to colonizing the red planet, efforts are focused on identifying extremely valuable asteroids.
Mars, asteroids and minerals
Throughout history, humanity has shown enormous interest in the exploitation of mineral sources. Now that it has expanded beyond the moon, also wants to do it in space and, of course, asteroids are a very tempting source. So the big goal is to extract metals from these celestial bodies in the hope of changing life on Earth.
Outside the realm of science fiction, Scientists know that many asteroids are real treasures. Now, getting back to the series, NASA has partnered with other international players and established a base on Mars for space mining. As more people travel to the red planet and the challenges of the new joint task appear on the scene, tensions begin to arise that threaten to destroy all the achieved objectives.
Helios Aerospace, with Ed Baldwin (Joel Kinnaman), remains a key character in the story. The astronaut is now aerospace company spokesperson. And we meet many well-known cast members. Margo Madison (Wrenn Schmidt), Danielle Poole (Krys Marshall), Aleida Rosales (Coral Peña), Dev Ayesa (Edi Gathegi), among others, and new characters.
The premiere of the fourth season will take place on November 10. We will have 10 episodes that, as we say, will take us to the Valley of Happiness on Mars, eight years after the events of the previous season. The Apple TV+ subscription has a price of 6.99 euros per month in Spain, but if you buy an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV or Mac you can get three months free.
