Germans seem to be happy in their jobs. In a recent study, a third of respondents even said that they are almost always enthusiastic about their job. But which professions make you feel exhilarated? In our weekly ranking, we show you the ten industries in which working is apparently still fun.
Basically, Germans seem to be satisfied in their jobs. This comes from data from the Review platform Kununu out. A representative survey by the market research institute bilendi shows the same result. A third of those surveyed are always or at least often enthusiastic about their work.
A total of 69 percent of people also say that they contribute to the functioning of society through their job. Over half can always or often manage their work tasks independently and another 60 percent feel connected to their colleagues.
The industries where work is still fun
In order to examine the satisfaction of employees in Germany, we analyzed Kununu more than 450,000 employer reviews between July 2023 and June 2024. This included the judgments of current or former employees.
The study also looked into the question of which sectors in which employees are most satisfied. To this end, 15 of the most important industries were examined. They were ranked according to their respective scores. In the following ranking we show you the ten industries in which working is apparently still fun.
10th place: telecommunications
Telecommunications is in tenth place in the ranking of industries in which work is apparently still fun. She reached one Score of 73.5 percent. Employees ensure the construction, maintenance and operation of communications networks so that telephone and Internet services function smoothly. Due to constant change, the tasks are varied. Employees can also actively shape the world’s digital connectivity.
